Day 1: arrival to Casablanca

Upon your arrival at the airport, your designated driver will be there to greet you and transport you to your hotel. In the event of an early arrival, the driver can also guide you on a tour to explore some of the finest attractions in Casablanca.

We intentionally refrain from scheduling activities on the first day due to the potential fatigue travelers may experience, particularly after long flights. This approach allows us to maintain flexibility in the program to cater to individual needs and ensure a comfortable start to your journey.

Day 2: Casablanca to Tangier via Rabat

Your day begins with a rich exploration of Rabat’s historical and cultural treasures before you venture onward to the charming city of Tangier.

Start your day by immersing yourself in the timeless beauty of the Kasbah of the Udayas (Kasbah des Oudaias), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, the ancient fortress provides a spectacular vantage point for panoramic views of the vast Atlantic Ocean. Meander through the labyrinthine, whitewashed streets, and take a moment to bask in the serenity of the Andalusian Gardens.

Your journey continues to the Hassan Tower (Tour Hassan), an intriguingly unfinished minaret dating back to the 12th century. Ascend to its summit for breathtaking panoramic vistas of Rabat and its picturesque surroundings.

Next, explore the historical layers of Chellah, which has evolved from a Roman city into an archaeological site and necropolis. Among the Roman ruins and medieval structures, discover peaceful gardens that offer a serene contrast to the site’s rich history.

Make a stop at the Mohammed V Mausoleum, an architectural gem seamlessly blending traditional Moroccan aesthetics with modern design. It serves as the final resting place of King Mohammed V and his two sons, offering a poignant glimpse into Morocco’s modern history.

The National Archaeology Museum, located in the heart of the Oudaias Kasbah, invites you to delve into Morocco’s ancient past through an extensive collection of artifacts, including ancient pottery, intricate jewelry, and sculpted wonders.

As the afternoon approaches, you continue your journey to Tangier where you will spend your night.

Day 3: Explore Tangier

Tangier is a city nestled in northern Morocco at the Strait of Gibraltar. Tangier’s unique position as a crossroads of cultures for centuries has imbued it with a captivating blend of European, African, and Arabian influences. As you step into this city, you’ll uncover a tapestry of captivating attractions:

Begin your Tangier adventure at the Kasbah Museum (Museum of Moroccan Art), a historical fortress that houses a treasure trove of Moroccan art, artifacts, and historical exhibits. Don’t forget to take in the breathtaking views of the city and the sea from this elevated vantage point.

Venture into the Medina of Tangier, where narrow, winding streets beckon you to immerse yourself in the city’s traditional ambiance. These labyrinthine streets reveal bustling markets, artisan workshops, and charming cafés where you can savor the flavors of local life.

The Grand Socco, a sizable square at the heart of Tangier, invites you to observe the vibrant rhythm of local existence. It’s a place encircled by shops, cafes, and historical buildings, offering a delightful snapshot of daily life in Tangier.

A short drive from the city center, you’ll find yourself at Cap Spartel, the northwesternmost point of Africa. Here, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the Atlantic Ocean merging with the Mediterranean Sea. Nearby, the Caves of Hercules await, believed to be the mythical resting place of the legendary Hercules, with a cave entrance that intriguingly resembles a map of Africa.

After the visit of Tangier, you drive to Chefchaouen where you will spend your night.

Day 4: Exploring Chefchaouen

The first gem on your Chefchaouen sojourn is none other than The Blue Medina, a mesmerizing labyrinth of streets where every dwelling displays its own distinct shade of blue. As you navigate this living masterpiece, it feels as though you’ve stepped into the heart of an artist’s reverie. For those with a penchant for photography, this is an idyllic realm to capture the quintessence of Chefchaouen, where creativity and culture are vividly etched in shades of blue.

Plaza Uta el-Hammam beckons as the animated nucleus of Chefchaouen. Here, you’ll find yourself ensconced within the embrace of charming cafes, alluring restaurants, and vibrant boutiques. It’s the ideal haven to unwind, savor the aromas of Moroccan mint tea, and absorb the vivacious local ambiance. Be it people-watching or simply relishing the spirited atmosphere, this plaza embodies an authentic Moroccan experience.

As you delve deeper into Chefchaouen’s rich history and culture, the Kasbah Museum emerges. Nestled within the historical Kasbah, it serves not only as a formidable fortress but also as a repository of the town’s heritage. Here, you’ll embark on a journey through the annals of Chefchaouen, delving into its history, culture, and the intricacies of its traditional crafts. Ascending the Kasbah’s tower, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic spectacle of the blue medina, an opportunity to marvel at the town’s picturesque beauty from an elevated perspective.

Beyond the medina’s confines lies the beguiling neighborhood of Ras El-Ma, renowned for its natural spring and the gentle melodies of small waterfalls. It’s a tranquil sanctuary where locals gather to launder their garments, offering you a glimpse into the rhythms of daily life in Chefchaouen. Here, you can immerse yourself in the town’s authentic charm, an oasis of serenity amidst vibrant streets.

For an awe-inspiring panorama, embark on a brief hike to the Spanish Mosque. This vantage point unfurls a sweeping, panoramic vista of Chefchaouen and its breathtaking environs. It’s an especially enchanting locale to witness the golden embrace of sunset casting its warm hues upon the landscape.

Volubilis stands as one of the most impressive Roman archaeological sites in North Africa, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region’s ancient past.

Next, you’ll arrive in Meknes, where the magnificent Bab Mansour awaits. This grand gate serves as one of the primary entrances to the old city of Meknes and stands as a stunning example of Moroccan architecture. Its intricate tilework and calligraphy make it a true masterpiece, leaving travelers in awe of its beauty.

Just a short distance from Bab Mansour, you’ll visit Lahdim Square, a bustling hub of activity in Meknes. This large square is surrounded by cafes, shops, and the main market (souk), where you can immerse yourself in local culture and find an array of Moroccan handicrafts and spices.

Exploring further, you’ll visit Heri es-Souani, also known as the Granaries of Moulay Ismail. This site is a testament to the ambitious projects undertaken by Sultan Moulay Ismail, featuring massive underground grain stores and stables that showcase impressive engineering feats.

The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail is another significant stop, serving as the final resting place of the powerful sultan. Its interior is beautifully decorated and is considered a sacred place, offering travelers a moment of reflection and reverence.

Finally, as the day turns into evening, you’ll conclude your journey in Fes, where you’ll spend the night. This itinerary, from Meknes to Volubilis and then to Fes, provides a rich tapestry of historical and cultural experiences for travelers with Morocco Travel.

The vibrant quarter is a sensory journey through time, where the air is filled with the scents of spices, the echoes of craftsmen, and the whispers of history.

Within Fes el-Bali, you’ll find the magnificent Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University. Founded in the 9th century, it stands as one of the world’s oldest universities and the largest mosque in Fes. The architectural marvel of this sacred space, adorned with intricate details and beautiful craftsmanship, is a testament to the enduring spiritual and academic legacy of Fes.

Continuing your exploration, the Bou Inania Madrasa beckons with its exquisite Islamic architecture. Nearby, the Attarine Madrasa captivates with its intricate designs, beautiful woodwork, and mesmerizing tile patterns. It’s a true masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship.

Passing through the monumental Bab Bou Jeloud, the main entrance to the old city, you’ll be greeted by its striking blue and green mosaic tilework. Beyond this gate lies the pulsating heart of Fes el-Bali, where the city’s rich heritage and traditions come to life.

For a deeper appreciation of Moroccan arts and crafts, visit the Dar Batha Museum. Housed in a former palace, it showcases ceramics, textiles, woodwork, and other artifacts, offering insights into the region’s traditional craftsmanship.

For panoramic views of the city, ascend to the Merenid Tombs perched atop a hill. The hike is rewarded with breathtaking vistas of Fes and its surrounding landscapes, offering a unique perspective on the city’s layout and historical significance.

Morocco Travel

It all began with a dream brighter than the Moroccan sun. Morocco Travel was born from a deep, burning passion to share the authentic spirit of my homeland with the world. As a Cultural Studies student, I saw each alley and desert expanse as a story waiting to be told.

From that modest aspiration, our venture blossomed unexpectedly, growing into the most renowned travel company in Morocco. The success was as surprising as it was gratifying, a true testament to the joy and love we shared with every traveler.
