Day 1: Arrival in Fes

Upon your arrival at the airport, your designated driver will be there to greet you and transport you to your hotel. In the event of an early arrival, the driver can also guide you on a tour to explore some of the finest attractions in Fes.

We intentionally refrain from scheduling activities on the first day due to the potential fatigue travelers may experience, particularly after long flights. This approach allows us to maintain flexibility in the program to cater to individual needs and ensure a comfortable start to your journey.

Make your way to Bab Bou Jeloud, the main gateway into the medina. This iconic blue and green tiled gate, also known as the Blue Gate, serves as a perfect entrance to the vibrant old city. Day 3: Fez to the desert of Merzouga via Ifrane and Azrou

After breakfast, you leave Fes. On the way, the first stop will be Ifrane. It is a small city located in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. The city is renowned for its cleanliness, fresh air, and scenic mountain views. Because of its altitude and location, Ifrane has a cooler climate than most other Moroccan cities. This makes it an ideal destination for tourists seeking to escape the heat of summer.

The city is home to a number of attractions, including the Royal Palace, the Ifrane National Park, and the Moroccan winter resort of Oukaimeden. It is also has a vibrant nightlife, with many bars and clubs located in its center. After exploring Ifrane, you will continue your journey towards Midelt, a nice city in the Atlas Mountains.

After a shirt stop in Ifrane, you head to the Cedar Forests of Azrou where you watch and take pictures with wild monkeys.

Once in Midelt, you will have lunch and you go south via Talghomt pass praising the beautiful sights and landscapes that nature offers to you.

Once you reach the area of Ziz valley, you will pause for a thrilling panoramic view of oases filled with high palm trees. Within around one hour, you will reach the Sahara desert where you find camels waiting for you.

As you begin to approach Desert, the landscape will shift gradually. Finally, by the end of the afternoon, you will have arrived. Another journey will begin as the camels take you into heart of the desert. You drive through the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi which can reach up to 150 meters in height. The dunes are constantly shifting and moving, creating an ever-changing landscape.

Once you reach your camps, you will enjoy a traditional Berber Dinner.

Later, you can have a great experience of stargazing. There is something special about stargazing there; it is the wide open spaces, the lack of light pollution, or the feeling of being at one with the universe. Whatever the reason, a desert night sky is an unforgettable experience. The stars seem brighter and closer, and the constellations stand out in sharp relief.

Finally, you can sing and dance with Berbers around the fire. It is a traditional habit that reflects the joy and the happiness of Berber people.

Day 4: Exploring Merzouga (the dunes, nomades, traditions)

Embarking on your Sahara desert tour, you’ll first visit the serene Merzouga lake, known as Dayet Sriji. This tranquil oasis is a haven for exotic birdlife, creating a striking contrast to the surrounding arid landscapes.

Your journey continues with a visit to Rissani, a town steeped in history and culture. Your adventure begins with a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt, one of Morocco’s most impressive and well-preserved kasbahs. Day 14: Home sweet home

Our 14-day tour from Fes has come to a close here. Even while it makes us happy when a tour goes as planned, this is one of the aspects of our profession that we dislike the most. After traveling together for 14 days, we develop relationships, share our experiences, and open up about ourselves. True, saying bye has never been an easy task.

Today, the driver will transfer you to the airport in Essaouira and you leave Morocco with a lot of memories and stories to tell. It was a rich experience that took you to the very heart of Morocco.
