This is the first day of your Morocco Travel itinerary 10 Days to the desert and Marrakech. On this day, your driver will meet you at the airport and drop you off at the hotel.

Depending on your flight time, you can benefit from a guided visit to Hassan II mosque which is considered to be the biggest mosque in Africa. Then, you can stroll around the seaside beach and hang out to see how one part of Morocco looks like.

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and you drive through the vast and breathtaking Moroccan landscape, peppered with a few scattered villages. You spend almost 4 hours in the car covering a distance of 370 km. Once arrived, you will have launche in some local restaurant before you start your exploration of the city.

Essaouira is a charming city and you will enjoy its historic Portuguese walls as well as its old medina and Josh Mellah. A local guide will take you through its sneaky roads to show you the hidden part of the medina and tell you about its glorified past. You will be impressed by its walls and how they stood the test of time. However, if you like art, you will fall in love with it as you will see art everywhere.

In the evening, you can rest at some local cafés to drink meant tea or go back to your hotel.

On the third day of your Morocco Travel Itinerary 10 Days, get ready to visit Marrakech, you will wake up at eight and start your trip after breakfast.

On the way to Marrakech, you will stop multiple times to take pictures and your driver will tell you about the attractions.

Finally, when you arrive in Marrakech, he will check in in your riad in the old Medina. Then you will have free time to do what you like. You may visit a traditional Hammam or take a cooking course or simply stroll in the medina.

Here we are, at Marrakech, the city that embodies magic and glamour. One of the best things to do is to wake up early to see it with a local guide.

You start by visiting the Koutoubia minaret before you stroll to the Majorelle garden. Then, continue to Saadian tombs which manifest the emblem of the Saadian dynasty.

Later, you visit the Bahia palace with its beautiful oriental architecture which dates back to 1866. However, after having lunch,  you will have time to discover the old medina.

The ancient beauty of the city is still intact, with the scent of fresh mint, the tastiest spices and the sound of snake charmers, and the bustle of its impressive traditional souks, the largest in all of Morocco. The city of Marrakech is all this and more; the capital of the south and the epicenter of tourism and crafts.

No one can visit Marrakech without seeing the Djemaa-El Fna square. A place of magic and exotic culture that gathers musicians, artists, snake charmers, comedians..etc. It's always busy and tourists used to lose themselves between its alleys. The square was recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Day 5: Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou and Dades Valley

On the fifth day, you continue your itinerary to Dades Valley. The trip starts after breakfast and the driver will pick you up from your hotel. You via the High Atlas Mountains crossing the twists and the turns of Tizi n’Tichka pass.

You cross many traditional Berber villages seeing houses hiding between the mountains and showing up again. You will stop at multiple places to enjoy the landscapes or to take pictures. By launch, you will have arrived to Ait Benhaddou. A local guide will meet you and take you to the Kasbah where he will show you the places in which scenes of Game of Thrones were filmed. The Kasbah is famous worldwide for movies shooting.

Later, after Launch, you drive towards Ouarzazate where you visit the Atlas Studio which is used by many Hollywood producers. You continue through Rose valley along the road of the thousand kasbahs before getting into Dades where you will spend your night in a traditional Riad.

Day 6: Dades Valley to Merzouga, Camel Trekking, and Desert Camping

Your Morocco Travel Itinerary 10 Days is at its peak today since you will live the most fascinating adventure in the itinerary. Indeed you will travel to Merzouga and enjoy camel trekking and Desert Camping.

The first destination on your way is the Todra Gorges. Your driver will stop to see the high imposing Canyon that touches the sky. With their imposing posture, these walls will for sure impress you.

Next, you ill drive through the palm of Tafilalet until you arrive to the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will find camels at the feet of the dunes and you start another journey in the Sahara.

You trek camels for almost one hour before you arrive at the heart of the desert where you will camp. Along the way, you will watch the sunset and you will be impressed by the color of the sun as it touches the sand.

Overnight at your lux camp enjoying Berber music and traditional food. You can choose to sleep outside if you like.

After breakfast, we continue the itinerary north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the largest in the world. You will see thousands of palm trees along the 20 km drive. This itinerary leads to the Ziz valley, whose river descends from the High Atlas and feeds the palm grove. At this point, you will stop to enjoy a magnificent view over the valley and the town of Aoufous.

You will have another stop in Midelt, right in the heart of the Atlas Mountains where you will have free time for lunch and rest for a while.

Later, in the afternoon, you continue your way through the cedar woods where you will see the barbarian monkeys. We drive next to Ifrane which is located on the north-western slope of the Middle Atlas at 1,630 meters above water level. Its wide avenues, the perfectly clean urban development, the gardens, the green spaces and its architecture make it look like a Swiss city. This is the main reason for calling it the Switzerland of Morocco, and if that is not enough it has an important ski resort, Michlifen.

Finally, around 6:00 pm we arrive in Fez, another city like Marrakech. The driver will transfer you to the hotel, and you enjoy the vibes of the old medina.

The streets of Fez embody magic, charm, and enchantment. The medina itself is a magical space as in dreams. It is impressive in size and complexity. In Fez, you will get lost in the past. However, before heading to the old medina, you will take the time to see the Marinid tombs located to the north of the city and enjoy the historic view of Fez. You can then enter Fes el Bali (old Fez) through the historic Bab Boujeloud gate.

What sets Fez apart from other cities is that it has the most complete traditional medina in the Arab world and is still intact since its founding over 1000 years ago. 

Your guide will tell you many things about the history and culture of the city as you navigate through its narrow streets. You enter through the Bab Boujeloud gate to head towards the main artery of Talâa Kebira. There you will notice the touch of the past as you browse the shops and souks. You will visit the tanneries and the Chouara tannery. Then you climb onto the roof of a nearby leather shop to better sigh the 11th century stone pots filled with dye and the men at work still using age-old techniques.

After that, you'll head to the 14th-century Al Attarine madrasa, a marvel of Moroccan architecture and craftsmanship featuring intricate zellij tiles. From there you head to one of the oldest still operating universities in the world, Al-Qarawiyyin University next to Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque.

Day 9:  Exploring Meknes and Rabat

The Morocco Travel driver will meet you after breakfast in your Riad in the old Medina to start your tour from Fez to Rabat.

You leave the city towards Volubilis, a stretching complex that has remained incredibly well protected for centuries. The city was established in the 3rd century BC and was once one of the most remote parts of the Roman Empire. It was a city in bloom in its time before it was deserted nearly a thousand years later.

Later, you will visit the historic sites of Meknes, one of the 4 Imperial Cities. You will see the Agdal pools, the monumental gates, the royal mausoleum, the old prison, and the royal stables.

After lunch, you head over Rabat where  You will see the magnificent Kasbah of Oudayas, Hassan Tower with its uncompleted minaret, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, and the Hassan II as well as the Chellah Necropolis.

Finally, you will en your journey in Casablanca by the end of the day.
